Water as Fuel Supplement During the middle two hours, Ari Cohen & Fred Gutierrez of water4gas spoke about the technology for converting water into hydrogen, which can be used as a supplement for gasoline or diesel in order to boost performance and increase gas mileage. The conversion device installed in a car or truck, allows the engine to burn water as well as gasoline. This \”hydrogen on demand\” system was actually invented 100 years ago, but has been more recently popularized by Ozzie Freedom, who authored two e-books on the subject, said Cohen. According to Cohen & Gutierrez, the device, which includes a couple vacuum hoses and wires, is fairly simple to install. It uses a little electricity from the car battery to separate water into a gas called HHO (2 parts Hydrogen + 1 Oxygen) which helps the engine run a little cooler and burn fuel more efficiently. Cohen compared the system to a person taking a diet pill, which tells your brain you\’re not hungry. The ionization process of the electrolysis pulls and separates the oxygen from the hydrogen, explained Gutierrez, who has installed some five hundred systems in vehicles. Once again, I agree that the technique of stimulating petro fuel with Hydroxy gas is viable and relatively simple. Even more so on carbureted systems AND those fuel injected mockup systems!! The largest remaining hurdle is a reliable and reproducible method of generating hydoxy gas at the point of use (direct cylinder injection) and in a sufficient volume to be a sustainable fuel source in a ICE, at high rpm.
It was very little surprise that the Bush/Cheney/Rick Perry supported funding for “altenative energy sources” rejected any such funding of non petro based energy sources. It was quite a delight when a state in the northeast became very interested and granted $12 million over a 5 year period for this research. With a team of 7 we have been making great progress in understanding this new technology and how to use it effectively.
An interesting note is that 4 years, requests to receive state and federal funding perform this research at the University of Texas was denied. It was made very clear in the “proposal for funding” that this technology, when successfully develop would replace petroleum fuels in our internal combustion engine based transportation system.
Also as the % of Hydroxy gas introduced into the fuel intake is increased, the % of VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds) in the exhaust plume decreases. At a point of 100% hydroxy gas, the exhaust plume consists of neglible amounts of C02, nitrous oxide and C0. In fact, the engine exhaust while burning 100% Hydroxy is warm water.
There has been alot of academia generated, documented research on the benefits, effects and results of using mixtures of hydroxy gas with petro gas. The research that I have been involved with, has shown decreased engine exhaust plume temp as the % concentration of hydroxy gas into the fuel intake is increased. This has also been documented again and again in different studies.
Hello Gents, I was not contesting or disagreeing with the fact that Hyroxy technology is very promising. My point in disagreement was in stating that the term “sonic flash point” does not exist in any form of science. The internal combustion engine burns it’s fuel source via a exothermic chemical reaction utlilizing both the flash and burn point of the fuel. There is nothing “sonic” (speed of sound) involved.
WRONG, and I have the 5 gas and car ecu data to back me. Don’t speak as if something is fact when you don’t have facts, hho has much promise, but take the time and get the tests.

the average cylinder/exhaust plume temperature can be upto 65F lower than the same ICE burning only petro fuel. This is a result of the shorter combustion duty cycle of the HHO/petro mix as compared to 100% petro vapor. It is a fact that since the HHO/Petro vapor mix is combusted more completely, the exhausted gases have reduced components of green house gases (in some cases up to 80% decrease).
AS a researcher in the field of alternative energy including Hydroxy gas – These gentlemen are mis-using technical terms as well as communicating non-facts – The combustion process is not the same as vaporization. “Sonic flash point” is a contrived term. HHO stimulation increases the flame speed of the total vapor, thus the HHO/Petro mixture is combusted quicker and more completely. Since the combustion cycle burn of a 50/50 mix of HHO/Petro vapor is up to 3 times faster,
I understand that you don’t agree with what these guys are saying about HHO, but what do you know? Why won’t you tell us your information? I am not doubting that you know something about the technology. But why withhold it and post comments that come across as an extremely angry person? I am researching and trying to make sense of this technology and fitting it with my car so that I can determine if it will work and make a significant difference. You seem to have information, so help.
On top of that why should I do anything for you? Why don’t you do it for yourself? Its not hard to do yourself, quantify some data, do some testing, figure out the safety devices needed, establish baseline data on how to run an engine on pure hho, yes it can be done its not hard, and the do some testing on results with varying amounts of hho with a given air/fuel ratio. Don’t complain and do nothing, waiting for someone else to give you the answer, why don’t you help find the answer.
If you would like to discuss hho fact then count me in, and I would love to discuss it, but hho fiction and conjecture does no one any good. So do you have anything to discuss? If you truely have a 60% increase fine, great, but I deal in real evidence, and fact is it has to be resiliant evidence, able to with stand the true pressures of scientific proof. Do you have an O2 sensor mod? Or not? if so what is the result of a 5 gas dyno smog test, before and after? On a 92 it would be OBDI.
fact is there guy you assume much about me, and yet I state only fact and ask questions, if you can’t handle that I am sorry that you can’t hold up in a concrete discussion. That fact is these guys know very little about what they are saying, and they are only regeritating what they heard others say, and they are doing it badly. You yourself should be a little open minded here, and remember you know nothing about me and what I have and am doing except what you have read here.
why not respond to bash if your gonna bash me? thats not very fair, so first off, how much mileage data did you record prior to your 60% increase? What kinda driving conditions did you test? Did you test different stations, and different times of fill ups? Did you use different octanes? Did you find that mileage varies 20% +/- or a 40% variartion normally? Was it winter vs summer blend, do you have winter and summer blend? Have you done a scientific study to prove anything, if so where is it.
Always someone trying to help people, but only make it worse AKA you buddy–mielectric1– just leave, and as far as these guys go I tip my hat. And lets see what your doing give us something?? Then ill back you up %100; till then, it’s only your word buddy. I have this system in my honda civic 92 works perfect, gave me %60 increase. Be a little open mind here, and please if you going to respond don’t bash.

If they don’t they will only succeed in making the whole hho movement look like a bunch of backyard idiots, and can hurt someone. putting hho into a glass jar is STUPID it a grenade, and thats all big oil need to outlaw this stuff. Its the people who rush in unprepared who can mess things up for everyone.
buddy, you have no idea what I am doing about it, this account is a subname account, and therefore I wouldn’t expect you to know what I am doing, and I really don’t think you’d believe me anyway. And as far as the o2 sensor, well the introduction of hho into the air stream has no net effect on the o2 sensor, why, well simple the hho brings in the need amount of O to burn and therefore doesn’t add to the exhaust amount of O. messing with the o2 will only allow you to lean the mix
They may not know everything, but at least they are doing something! What are you doing about it? They are a little off about the heat impact of hydrogen on an internal combustion engine, as timing would be retarded to 8-15+ degrees; fire after top dead because it burns so fast, and they are not totally clear about the ECU learning – it’s actually the O2 sensors that cause the problem but they can be fooled easily. These people working against big oil with limited funds for the good of everyone.

You are so right, the dollars value is going down, and they are going too crash it by 2010. But water for fuel technology is not wanted by them for this one reason, they will lose control of the masses. How so, you might be asking, no more electric bill or gasoline usage for anyone that gets the technology will be free of the energy enslavement they have on us now. Now that’s something to think about.
